Ingredients

Cake -

  • 1 Cherry Chip cake mix
  • 1 heart-shaped whoopie pie pan

Filling -

Coating -

  • 1 pkg. pink candy melts
  • 1 pkg. white candy melts

Instructions

Cake -

  • Mix cake mix according to package directions.
  • Spray pan with cooking spray.
  • Fill heart shapes in pan with batter, 1-2 tablespoons of batter per heart, depending on the size of your pan.
  • Bake according to package directions for cupcakes, or until toothpick inserted in center of cakes comes out clean.
  • Remove cakes from pan and let cool on wire rack.

Filling-

  • Mix together cream cheese, butter, and vanilla.
  • Add powdered sugar, mixing well.
  • Add in Marshmallow Fluff, making sure all ingredients are mixed.
  • Once cakes have cooled, match them up, adding frosting and sandwiching together.

Coating -

  • Melt pink candy melts, according to package directions.
  • Take cake sandwiches, one at a time, and gently roll/dip in melted candy coating.
  • Set on wax paper. You may need to spoon a bit of candy coating on top of each cake once you've set it on the wax paper.
  • Once all cakes have been coated, allow to chill in refrigerator until coating has hardened.
  • Melt white candy melts, according to package directions.
  • Drizzle over top of each cake in whatever pattern you desire. I used a bottle with a cake tip for this step.
  • Again, allow to chill until candy coating has fully hardened.
  • Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Serve and enjoy!
