Spring is the perfect time for this easy recipe, what with picnics, warm weather, and the need for a cool, creamy dessert. My mom would make this every once in awhile; it's really not your average banana pudding. With the different ingredients, it has an amazing flavor.

Below is a printable recipe, without photos, for your convenience. Just to show you how the pudding is made….

The first thing to do is to smash your bananas. Then blend the bananas together with the cream cheese. After this, mix the rest of your ingredients in with your banana/cream cheese mixture. Ingredients include Cool Whip…. powdered sugar…. instant vanilla pudding…. and milk. Finally, it's time to make your layers, starting with a layer of vanilla wafers. Add a layer of pudding. Add another layer of vanilla wafers. Then top with a second layer of pudding.

You can layer this in a 10×13 pan or larger dish for potlucks, or you can layer in smaller, individual cups for a special summertime treat. Be sure to top with your favorite whipped topping. Enjoy!

  1. Humm .. that’s not the recipe I got from her.. that looks just as amazing though.. I’ll have to try that version.. because, I would like the bananas crushed in like that not sliced.. I’m not a fan of whole fruit in my food LOL..But I do like the graham crackers instead of the wafers.. Great! now I’m craving this.. :)

    • Jennifer, she gave me this recipe way back when we first got married…. yeah, I definitely like them crushed up a lot better.:) I need to try it with graham crackers; that sounds really good.
