When summer hits here in Arkansas, it tends to hit hot and heavy. We’ve already had heat warnings this week, which is pretty crazy for so early in the summer. It’s so humid that when we get up in the mornings, our windows are completely fogged over. These hot days are when my kids go looking in the freezer for their favorite summer treats… Homemade ice cream, popsicles, freezer pops, and FroYo Pops.
While I’ll sometimes buy frozen treats in store, I also like to make homemade freezer pops. One reason is we can avoid unhealthy ingredients, for instance a ton of colors. And sometimes it’s cheaper to make them homemade. Plus, my boys can pick what flavor they’re in the mood for when we make them ourselves. We can add fresh fruit and our favorite Greek yogurt, making them a healthier frozen treat. And they’re really not hard to make; in fact, this recipe is super easy.
Below you’ll find the printable recipe for Easy Strawberry Kiwi FroYo Pops. My boys say these are more sour than sweet, so keep that in mind when making them. Oh, and the best part? You only need 2 ingredients. Woohoo! Enjoy!
- 3-5 kiwi
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups Honey-Strawberry Greek Yogurt
- Wash kiwi.
- Peel, slice, and crush kiwi with potato masher.
- Mix kiwi with Greek yogurt.
- Place spoonfuls kiwi yogurt mixture in each freezer pop mold.
- Cover, add popsicle sticks, and freeze overnight or until frozen through.
- Serve and enjoy!
